Apple iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max India price leaked ahead of launch: Here’s how much they may cost

Apple to launch iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max with new designs and specs. Prices may rise by ~$50 (Rs 5,000) across models, making Pro Max the costliest yet. iPhone 17 Air debuts with ultra-slim 5.5mm design and Pixel-like camera island.

Apple is gearing up to launch its next big flagship lineup, the iPhone 17 series, at its “Awe Dropping” event, scheduled for September 9, 2025. This year, the company is expected to introduce four models – iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max with significant upgrades over last year’s iPhone 16 lineup. However, along with the new features, prices are also expected to increase. 

According to recent leaks, Apple is likely to increase the price of its new iPhones by around $50 (approximately Rs 5,000 in India) across models. Here’s how much they may cost. 

iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max price in India (Expected) 

The iPhone 17 could reportedly start at $849 or Rs 84,990 for the 128GB version, compared to last year’s $799 pricing. The iPhone 17 Pro may see a bigger jump, starting at $1,049 or Rs 1,24,990; however, this price is said to apply to the 256GB variant, rather than the 128GB base model offered previously.

Meanwhile, the top-end iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumoured to debut at $1,249 or around Rs 1,50,000 in India, up from $1,199 (Rs 1,44,990). If true, this would make it one of the most expensive iPhones Apple has ever launched.

iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max specs

The iPhone 17 is expected to retain a similar design to the iPhone 16 with a dual camera- 48MP primary sensor and 12MP ultra-wide sensor. However, it may get a larger screen and 120Hz ProMotion tech. It could be powered by the Apple A19 processor and paired with 8GB RAM. It may also support Apple Intelligence features, camera controls and much more.

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are said to feature the biggest design change. It could get a new rectangular camera bar with a familiar triple 48MP camera setup. The flash and LiDAR could be moved towards the right. Both devices may get a slightly tweaked placement of the Apple logo. It could come powered by the A19 Pro chip, paired with up to 12GB RAM. However, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max may have display size differences.

Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air is said to replace the iPhone 17 Plus with a new slim design (5.5mm thick) and Pixel-like camera island. It could weigh less compared to the Galaxy S25 Edge. It may feature a 48MP main camera and could be powered by the A19 Pro chipset.
